About Us
Krista has been practicing for over 20 years. Throughout her career, she has provided therapy to clients in the school setting, in an outpatiet rehabilitation setting and in private practice.
Krista has experience evaluating, diagnosing and treating a variety of disorders including speech sound production disorders, language disorders, and feeding disorders. In recent years, Krista has focused her career primarily on understanding and treating the children with autism spectrum disorder. She spent 9 years practicing at Loyola University Medical Center in suburban Chicagoland where she had the opportunity to work closely with a variety of pediatric specialists and collaborated with the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician as a primary participant in the multi-disciplinary Developmental Diagnostics Clinic.
Krista is skilled in developing functional communication, modifying challenging behaviors and reducing restrictive behaviors that negatively impact feeding using the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding. She believes strongly in a family focused approach to treatment and strives to provide comprehensive support to patients and their families.
In addition to providing individual speech-language therapy to children, Krista also has expertise in assessing and treating pragmatic-social language disorders in children of all ages. She has passion for guiding children to develop an understanding of how relationships are developed and maintained so they can reach their desired level of connection to others in their lives.
